Pricing

What sets your price

Your fixed monthly price depends on how complex your business is, not on how many hours we log.

One fixed monthly price.Every client gets one fixed monthly price after the discovery call. Work outside your plan is quoted first and billed hourly only with your written approval.

  • Sales channels

Each channel (Shopify, Amazon, wholesale…) adds payouts to split and reconcile.

  • Monthly transactions

Order volume and the number of bank and card transactions we categorize.

  • SKU count

More SKUs means more inventory, landed cost and margin detail to track.

  • Number of entities

Each legal entity has its own books; Summit consolidates up to three.

Add-ons

  • PayrollAvailable as an add-on, coordinated through Gusto.
  • Accrual basis (Base Camp)Upgrade Base Camp from cash to accrual reporting.
  • Books cleanupA one-time project to bring messy or behind books up to date before monthly service begins.

FAQ

Pricing questions, answered.

  • Is there a minimum term?

Yes. Monthly service has a 6-month minimum, which gives us time to set up and show you reliable numbers. After that it's month to month: give 30 days' notice and you can leave anytime with a full handoff and no exit fees. Trailhead is the exception: it's a starter plan for up to 12 months. By then, or sooner if you pass $500K in revenue or add a second sales channel, you move up to Base Camp or we wrap up with a full handoff.

  • Are there setup fees?

Yes, a one-time setup fee that covers connecting your channels, building your chart of accounts and inventory tracking, and configuring your Overlook dashboard. It starts at $750 for Trailhead, $2,000 for Base Camp, $3,500 for Ascent, $6,500 for Summit. Books cleanup, if needed, is quoted separately.

  • How long does setup take?

Typically 1–2 weeks for Trailhead, 2–3 weeks for Base Camp, 3–4 weeks for Ascent, 4–6 weeks for Summit, once we have access to your accounts. Your first full monthly close follows right after.

  • Can I prepay annually?

Yes. Pay for 11 months up front and get 12 months of service.

  • I already have a bookkeeper. How does switching work?

We handle the transition: we collect access, review your books, and take over from the next month-end close. Your current bookkeeper doesn't have to do anything beyond handing over access and documents.

  • My books are a mess. Can you still help?

Yes. If your books are behind or unreliable, we start with a one-time books cleanup project, quoted separately, so monthly service begins from a clean, trustworthy baseline.

  • What's the difference between cash and accrual?

Cash basis records money when it moves in or out of your bank. Accrual records revenue when you earn it and costs when you incur them, even if cash moves later. Accrual gives a truer picture of margin for brands with inventory, wholesale terms or bills paid later, which is why Ascent and Summit use it.

  • What's not included?

Tax preparation, legal advice and HR aren't included at any tier. Payroll is available as an add-on through Gusto.

  • Can I change plans later?

Yes. As your brand grows, you can climb to the next stage. We'll re-quote your fixed monthly price for the new tier.
